BAKEWELL QUAKER MEETING

Bakewell has an active body of Quakers. There is a lively programme for children and young people. The meeting house, built in a traditional design is situated close to the town centre and has recently (2007) undergone a refurbishment.

We hold meetings every month for people to explore a topic of interest and to share views on it. Recent topics have included a discussion of Jung's Modern Man's Search for the Soul; individuals' accounts of their spiritual journeys; and Is there such a thing

as a 'just war'?  From time to time we run courses introducing people new to Quakers to our processes and commitments.

Meeting for Worship is held every Sunday, with other topical meetings held during the week from time to time.

You are welcome to join our worship.

Rooms can be hired at reasonable rates.
